As Vitamin C enhances Iron absorption, iron poisoning can become an issue for people who have the rare iron overload disorders, such as haemochromatosis.
When taken on an empty stomach, large doses of 6gms or more, can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flushing of the face, headaches, fatigue and disturbed sleep.
